1st post of 2008-09

Hey All

With apologies to the Green Bay Packers I have been back up in the "Frozen Tundra" for 2 weeks now and I thought I would make a short post to let everyone know that I have made it back to Cape Dorset for another school year. It should be another great year at PPS as we have very few changes staff wise. I had an awesome summer back in the Miramichi. So many things went on and I don't think I missed one. First of all I made it home in time to see my son graduate from high school. It seems like yesterday when he came into our world. I hope he makes out all right at Memorial University. I am sure he will. He did very well in High School ( finished second in a grad class of 180) and he seems much more focused than I ever was at 17. We had a trip to PEI, and many parties and boat trips. It was quite possibly the best summer ever as Merita had most of the little piddly house jobs like painting and carpentry jobs completed for graduation. I just sat back and enjoyed it. The biggest job I did was put up the Christmas lights before I left.
I always get a little nervous when I first start a new school year but you get over it in a little less than 3 seconds.The school looks really sharp with the new exterior paint job. I hope it lasts.
Well thats it for now. I just wanted everyone to know I am back and didn't drop off the face of the earth.
